LaseMD Laser

LaseMD in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles, CA

LaseMD is a laser skin resurfacing treatment that can stimulate the body’s natural collagen and elastin production to provide healthier, younger-looking skin. This is achieved through non-ablative laser energy, which gently heats targeted tissue in the deeper layers of the skin while leaving the surface layer intact, typically resulting in little to no downtime when compared to the full ablative lasers of the past.

LaseMD is considered safe for all skin types, with the magnitude of treatment tailored to the severity of one’s skin concerns. Patients often complete a LaseMD session during their lunch break and can resume normal activities immediately for a simple, yet powerful way to repair sun-damaged skin, reduce fine lines and renew a dull or uneven complexion. Skin Resurfacing Laser With Little to No Downtime in Los Angeles

LaseMD is a Fracional NonAblative Laser – which means that it uses laser energy to create micro-channels in the skin through which it works its effects. These micro-channels stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin, which helps to improve the overall health and quality of the skin at a cellular level. LaseMD skin resurfacing treatments can be used to improve a wide variety of common skin concerns and imperfections, including treating active acne and acne scarring, sun damage and melasma, fine lines, uneven skin tone and texture, and even tightening skin!

Advantages of LaseMD compared to other laser skin resurfacing treatments:

  • Improves the appearance of rough, coarse or uneven skin texture
  • Removes and reduces wrinkles and fine lines
  • Reduces acne and acne scarring
  • Removes moderate to severe sun damage
  • Treats Melasma in any skin type
  • Minimal downtime

LaseMD can be safely used on any area of the body where you have fine lines and sun damage. The most common area of treatment is, of course, the face, followed by the neck, chest, arms, hands, and shoulders.

What Should I Expect During and After My LaseMD Treatment?

The treatment takes only about 30 minutes and you will feel residual heat and redness for the rest of the day. You will notice redness (like a mild sunburn) that lasts for 2-3 days and tiny “coffee ground” spots shedding out of your skin over 5-7 days. This can be easily covered with make-up. You may experience a little light flaking. You will see significant results after about two weeks, which will continue to improve for three months.

How Many LaseMD Treatments Will I Need?

The number of treatments needed in order to achieve optimal results can vary from patient to patient depending on the condition(s) being treated and the patient’s goals. During your first consultation appointment, a member from our team will create a customized treatment plan for you that will help you achieve your optimal results. Per LaseMD’s protocol, it is best to do 1 treatment every 4 weeks for 3 months. Please keep in mind that some patients do require more than 3 treatments.

Is There Downtime With LaseMD?

Downtime varies for all patients. Most patients experience mild redness and slight swelling 4-6 hours after your treatment up to a few days. You can wear make-up 24 hours after your LaseMD treatment and return to your normal routines within a day or two. A member of our expert staff will discuss further post-treatment skincare instructions with you to ensure you achieve the best results.
